Industrial Design Solutions

Whatever stage you are at, our sheet metal engineering design team is here to make your idea a manufacturable reality. With a consultative approach and cross-sector experience we are perfectly positioned to deliver your vision.

Supporting your product development journey with CAD-led sheet metal design

Whether you require CAD design support to develop a sheet metal product from an initial concept, assess and optimise production methods, or progress through prototyping and first-off manufacture, our industrial design team provides engineering support at every stage of development. help at every stage.

Our in-house technical design engineers combine extensive cross-industry experience with advanced CAD and CAE tools to validate designs prior to manufacture. Using simulation-driven techniques—such as bend allowance and bend deduction analysis, forming feasibility checks, flat-pattern optimisation, and tolerance stack-up evaluation—we minimise risk, reduce iterations, and ensure predictable production outcomes. By applying Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles alongside virtual validation, we optimise component geometry, material selection, forming sequences, and tooling requirements.

Delivering a consultative approach to industrial design

We work closely with customers to ensure our approach to design fulfils the brief and that any predefined standards are adhered to. This approach results in CAD sheet metal designs that achieve structural integrity, aesthetic quality, and cost-effective manufacturability, while enabling a smooth and efficient transition from design through prototyping to full-scale production.

Our consultative approach ensures that the final product meets expectations, taking into consideration both manufacturability and cost-efficiency.

Our Process

1. Consult

We take a structured, consultative approach to understanding your requirements, carefully reviewing the initial brief to ensure full clarity on your product specifications, functional requirements, and manufacturing constraints.

2. Present

We explore and develop early-stage design ideas, translating them into CAD-based concepts for review and feedback.

3. Review

we evaluate the initial design concepts to ensure technical feasibility, requirement compliance, and alignment with project objectives.

4. Design

We produce detailed SolidWorks manufacturing drawings, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and alignment with Design for Manufacture (DFM) requirements.

5. Prototype

We produce an initial working prototype, review its performance, and implement any necessary refinements prior to final sign-off.

6. Manufacture

Once the CAD design has been optimised and the prototype approved, production quantities are manufactured in accordance with your specified requirements.Final product is manufactured in production quantity.
